Well well well, another Monday and that of course means another five songs to have you on your merry little way. Last week for me had its ups and downs but throughout it I was looking back on how awesome the Blink-182 gig I attended last month was. It was a massive nostalgia trip that I will never forget and that pretty much shaped an idea in my head as for how this blog was going to look. Rather than give you five new songs to listen to today, I'll be venturing further through my nostalgia to bring you five songs that shaped my youth. Obviously they aren't the only five songs but hey, we would be here all day.
Maybe some of these songs you were into back in your younger days, or maybe you will have to look further back in the audio archives for your nostalgia trip but nontheless, feel free to share your five tracks in the comments that will take you down memory lane!
Welcome back to the Monday Mixtape blog. I’ve spent all week trying to determine what one song to miss out of the five today, and then it dawned on me. Why don’t I choose the best one today and the remainder can be featured next week? I’m not just a pretty face, evidently.
So, open up your Spotify (if you have it), press the play button and let the extended playlist entertain you for a half hour with three new tracks from today’s blog. The songs missing can be found at the bottom of the page and when they become available on Spotify we will add them. We’re good like that. Lets go!
Musée Mécanique are releasing a new single titled 'Fits & Starts' on September 20th, and will be playing some dates in the UK to support the release. Read on to see those dates!
Sound of Guns will release their new single 'Elementary Of Youth' on September 20th on vinyl and download, and also go on tour that month. The band support Detroit Social Club on their tour in October. Click "Read / Comment" to see the dates.
Monday, being the day new music is usually released, really should be the best day of the week if you are a crazy music fanatic like me. Well, I’m going to try my darn hardest to make it that little bit better with a new weekly blog called the Daily Dischord Monday Mixtape. It’s quite simple. As the title suggests, I’ll be recommending five songs. Some brand spanking new, others which you may have not heard of, all completely and utterly awesome. Sound good? Lets dive right in to volume one then!

Enough of the chatter, lets do this!
