Daily Dischord Welcomes Tom Joy Photography to the Team!

We at Daily Dischord are delighted and proud to announce that the very talented Tom Joy will be joining the team, with the mission of helping us move our digital media forward in the coming months. Based in Aberdeen (that same city that our head honcho Liam calls home), Tom has been growing as a photographer for four years, and since starting doing freelance work in early 2010 has become a well-known figure around the local music scene helping bands with promotional shoots and also with the recording of music videos. Never getting too cosy in one specific domain, Tom has also spent his time taking shots of local extreme sporting events, as well as being one of the official photographers for the much respected clothing line Honour Over Glory, amongst many other local commitments.

In his new role with Daily Dischord, Tom Joy will be helping us move our digital media forward in the coming year, with the aim of bringing you one of the most exciting media content channels in the underground music scene today. We recognise that the website is lacking exclusive media content and we have talked with Tom at great length as of how we are going to improve this, and both believe we have some exciting features ahead that you will not see anywhere else. In the future you can expect live coverage of some of the most exciting festivals, shots of the gigs we review (as well as the gigs we promote in Scotland), interviews with bands local and international, and other unique features such as our exclusive access to the first T Fest event held in Aberdeen (a showcase for underground Scottish music) on Saturday 20th August.

We are excited about the future of Daily Dischord, and we are very happy that Tom feels as enthusiastic as we do about taking Daily Dischord to the next level.
