Warren Ellis's weekly Freakangels comic is fantastic. I'm about two-thirds through the existing collection, the characterisation of both the people and the setting are proper good like. Also, Paul Duffield's art is BEAUTIFUL, at once both fantasticly detailed and unsettlingly quirky.

It's going well, I've eaten up 2 books and watched 2 film adaptations.

graphic novelwise i've been reading ghost world (avoid at all cost), Magneto: Testament, which is probably one of the best books i have ever read, Daredevil: yellow (good but not as good as i thought), Ultimate Spiderman that I am finally getting into after hating for years and anything that has Constantine in because he rules.

Comic Bookwise I'm readin Mister Negative which i like. odd it is but good. Just finished reading Ultimatum that had a terrible ending, Ultimate Avengers and Ultimate Spidey (reboot) that everyone should pick up because they are ace. Amazing Spiderman that has started to get better again due to the fact that MJ is back, sinister spiderman, batman, batman and robin (oddly not that odd for morrison but good) and any of the Marvel noir.

But i suggest checking out The Abyss by Red 5 Comics, and in particular Red Robin. Blews me away everytime i read it

Volume 2 of Transmetropolitan, Volume 2 of Planetary, and also:

Arkham Asylum: A Serious House On Serious Earth, to continue my journey into interesting re-imaginings of Batman stories. It was good, if a little too short, and really unsettling. The character of Batman is a complete wuss though, which I thought was a bit shit.

Might get Joker by Brian Azzarello next, looks goooood.

Joker is good but not great i thought. Long Halloween and Dark Victory are better

Graphic Novels, im readin Y The Last Man at the mo. One of the best comic book series i have ever read. everyone should pick it up. also being readin 100 bullets, green lantern: rebirth (awesome), green lantern/green arrow, iron man: demon in a bottle, wolverine: logan, chosen which is quality as well n lots n lots of Constantine.

comic book wise: blackest night is the best thing being done for a long time. Blackest night Batman, green lantern, red robin, batgirl, batman and robin, batman, blackest night: green lantern corps, ultimate avengers, ultimate spiderman. war heroes is mind blowing as well. asm, daredevil, sinister spiderman n dark reign: the list. marvel is no where near as good as dc at the mo me thinks.

Read Global Frequency Vol.2 and it was great, better action than the first but a little less inventive in terms of the rescue situations possibly. Pity there aren't any more, we only got to see Aleph's backstory and not Miranda Zero's.

Kinda interested to see the never-commissioned GF TV pilot now.

Finished Planetary Vol. 3 the other day, was aweseome and can't wait for the last collection now. Also got Joker by Brian Azarrelo, a brilliantly-drawn alternative interpretation of the character which was more in line with how we saw him in The Dark Knight.

Might start The Authority soon.

Volumes One & Two of The Boys. First graf novel I've read which features a superhero who keeps a hamster up his arse. Gwan Ennis.

I'm back on the comic bug, only its a way more expensive addiction now. Only going to collect hardcovers...ouch.

Recently got the Girls compendium, looks absolutely amazing.

Was impressed with Kevin Smiths Batman "Cacophony" thought that was a good read.

Kick Ass has got me pumped for the movie, trailer did nothing for me but now I've read it, fuck. Cant wait.

Also got a Walking Dead compendium.

Compendiums are awesome.

Picked up the first issue of Choker by Templesmith/McCool and it's OK, struggled to get raise any interest in the world it was painting but I might see if #2 picks up.

The girl is reading Chew, Sweet Tooth and Greek Street (which means I get to read them too) and they're all awesome.

I want the next volumes of of The Boys and Planetary to be out already.

Planetary volume 4 was the best science fiction I think I've read. The whole series has been epic, but the last chapter just closed it all of fantastically.
